I would like my magazine to be an eclectic mix of well-written, intellectual-without-being-academic articles and essays - sort of in the style of The New Yorker or Harper's or Atlantic Monthly but not exactly. My target audience, therefore, will be well-educated, thoughtful individuals. They will probably come from a mid-to-high income bracket and may be more urban than rural. They will be American, and will likely have left-leaning political sensibilities.
I don't think age and gender will factor as strongly as what I've just mentioned, and will not be targeting any particular gender or age group (except "adults").
